It is SO Neat to be back and viewing this Gorgeous Blade Family again!!
Even if I confess a slight bent towards the Katana Family.....
As Usual, Beautiful Blades Yangdu!!!!!

The DER HAUSWEHR is a beautiful knife and a great deal. I'm tempted but resisting.

Look at all the Dhar! I can't take it!

That is some beautiful wood IMO...

I am so proud every time a hauswehr shows up. They are true to the original design and stand on their own in performance.

The Tamang needs to come to my house. I'll PM Yangdu.

email her instead...

I do have it bad, for the Tamangs... truly one of my favorites for many reasons. They are great looking blades, stupendously fast to fight with (though so far thank God, I have only needed to train with it) and find the scabbard to be the easiest one for me to wear on my belt. Here in Indiana, we are blessed with extremely liberal knife laws. These allow me to actually wear my Tamang in public without a single problem from the law. At first folks give you a few looks but you figure that most of them likely have a gun in their pocket (as do I), it seems to blow over quickly.

You wont regret it. ;)

The Tamang is the standout in HI's product line for a semi-budhume style with robust construction without being over-built and heavy. I've had one since last year and it remains a favourite.

Moblues, I am having problem with AOL and did not get your emai.
Send eamil to himimp@aol.com
Thank you

You will NOT regret getting that Tamang. I have one with a Dhar handle and it is amazing. The Tamang khukuri is very lively and natural feeling in the hand. It's pure cutlery bliss. The Nepalese have an excellent grasp on what makes a good knife.
Everyone needs an HI Kerambit, too. That's another knife that feels like an extension of your hand. Now I just need to get a Tarwar.
Wonder if Auntie has any Tarwars?

I need a Kerambit-C to finish out the collection of those, I have two Tamangs now, one Dhar and one Neem handled... and two Tarwars.

I will say Jaymo, you will be dancing when you get that Tarwar. I have one from Young Sher and it is a very nice piece. If you get one of his, I am sure you will be pleased.

Yeah, I hope she has some Tarwars. Right now, I'm waiting for the next shipment to get to her, as it is supposed to contain my custom 18" Bonecutter with Dhar handle.:D
The Kerambit C takes a shaving sharp edge very easily. The back edge is also easy to sharpen. It goes through tough pork chops like a hot knife through butter.
I thought about getting that hauswehr, but I REALLY want a Tarwar. I find it to be a very attractive short sword.
