No takers? I won't keep this offer open forever. Stop sittin' on yer hands.

Brian check post 13. That one is gone. Wish I had the $ to get that one myself.

Sher is always trying something new. The full tang on the manjushri is cool, and the carving is really unique.

Very nice.

Thanks for the clarification. That's my question either.:)

But IIRC how come I can't find 2 fullers, actually not even 1. Can you help me?

Look at the picture of the BDC crossed with the big pen. The blade fullers are clearly visible there.

A question - villager is a finish, or khukri type? I mean, the villager pen and villager BAS look different in blade shape.

Thanks, man. I checked "The Khukuri FAQ" on HI's website again and found I have a misunderstanding here. I thought the "fuller" means those shallow ditches right beside the upper spine. Actually it should be the "Chirra". Now I understand.

A "villager" in the sense of villager Pen or villager BAS, is a regular HI Pen or BAS with white metal fittings and a lack of high polish finish.

Otherwise, they are usually the same, as far as shape or quality.

Some people here prefer the villagers because they tend to be sharper 'out of the box' than their more polished bretheren. Also, if you're going to really use the knife, you don't marr up a nice polish.

On one of my polished blades, the characteristic scrollwork near the spine appears to have been partially obscured/removed, perhaps through the process of polishing itself. I don't see this on my villagers.

Yep, I've seen this before as well. Kind of a shame actually. The kamis take all that time to inlay the brass into the sword of shiva, and then some of it gets polished out by the buffing wheel.

I give the users a satin finish anyway, so would just as soon they came that way.
