Deals for 7/1 -- Pix, Tamang Khukuri, BDC and Great Buys

thanks, how does it chop compared to some of the longer khukuri? I know it won't chop as well but...

My Bonecutter is only 12ounces whereas the C.A.K. is 17oz ... it would have more chopping power than the BC which I have only used for kitchen chores (boy does it slice tomato's, oranges and apples :D) at the present time.

that tamang is calling to me, good thing it got taken as i'm broke.

i have an almost used 200ml bottle of neem oil, a few drops mixed into a small bottle of virgin olive oil makes an antiseptic, anti-fungal and insect repellent lotion. works for athlete's foot, crotch rot, and other skin complaints. i don't think you use it (the oil) internally though, the internal version is made from an infusion of the leaves and stems. neem toothpaste is also available to maintain that nice white smile. neem infusion is also used in low concentrations as an environmentally kind insecticide. an all-around usefull plant. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (THE Mahatma) apparently ate two teaspoons of powdered neem every day.

watch out boiling your handle, they're glued in with laha, a mixture of tree resin and dried dung and other secret ingredients, which does NOT make a nice tea.

mmm ... dried dung! :p

Anyone know where one might get some neem oil?

Sounds like handy stuff. I wonder if it works on Canadian bugs ...

Never mind the oil, that one looks as if it would take a kukhri to deal with ... and saving the pretty girl is never a bad idea! :D

Thanks! :)

Ewww.......that's the first practical argument I've seen for a 30" sacrificial model!

Better yet, just get some Gurkha-surplus hand grenades.......

yep, they're definitely not as big as back home in alabama either, we domesticate 'em & keep them as pets and for transport, and you can comfortably take a passenger or two for a ride. hard finding enough yankees to feed them on tho. of course, the biggest blood-suckers are in Washington, DC., tho as i've found, the ones in london ain't far behind.

I snagged that one, but I won't be doing a review anytime soon since I am recovering from biceps and subscapularus tendon surgery. At least 6 more weeks of therapy before I can use the right arm for chopping.

Does anybody know if I can order a Tamang Khuk or is it wait and see if one comes up again? That has beautiful curves.

And failing that, you could always e-mail Yangdu about gettin' yer hands on one. Can't hurt to try, right?
