Deals for 7/22 --Pix, Bonecutter, Foxy Folly and Great Buys

Hey John,

I was just curious about what was holding people back. There have been a bunch of "best chopper" threads lately and the Bonecutter certainly ranks in the top 2 or three next to any kukri, by any maker on the market. And as you said, this is one by the man himself! I would use my [relatively] little 16.5" Bonecutter blow for blow against any kukri I have or have ever seen. I do agree with you that the economy is tightening the belts of us normal people. I'm sure it will find a good home!

Also surprised that the Foxy and BC are still here; if I were strong enough to wield the BC, I'd take it, and if I didn't already have a FF, I'd take that one too!

Sgt. K Bonecutters are seriously worth their weight in gold. I love mine to death and is the rig I'm grabbing if the SHTF.

I would say Sarge has been very quiet for some time. BC like this would have been snatched mili-seconds after posting. Khadka's BC will happily slay the stubborn logs and reign supreme.

Hate to mention this again but a 12" BC out-chopped a heavier 18" ASTK. With the BoneCutter you could finish a tree log and keep going like Lionel Richie.

John got a point on the FF sheath. If it comes in a natural/dark brown sheath it would def be a very complimentary piece. I was thinking about making kydex for it already if i have the funds to score.

I see a very solid flow of incoming Hi's- The gelbu has this really elegant profile and managed to stay at such beautiful weight. Siru as well.

Good job!

willpower cannot hold out any longer...email sent on Bonecutter. I'm sure the funds will be put to good use by the Sgt and by 2011 rates on BC's this is a good deal. The WWII I picked up for hard user chopping didn't hit the sweet spot...I'm sure this one will.

I'm not sure what the specs are on your WWII, but in my limited experience, the grand WWII isn't a dedicated chopper. It's an outstanding, jack-of-all-trades companion khuk. It's my most used khuk, but not the ideal chopper IMHO. It is a utility khuk/fighter by design. The BC, by all accounts, is a master chopper. My experience with that style is limited to my little 12.5" Murali GRS/BC. It chops way above it's class for sure. I think you'll be happy with your new BC. Take care.

Yeah, I don't have *that much* heavy chopping to do so I figured that the utility weapon/tool would be "good enough." I'm sure it would have .... if my expectations hadn't been bent way out of control by how well the AK bowie, Farmcata and CAK that's too pretty to beat up chopped!

as a fellow bc owner, these things are amazing. everytime i show someone our "emergency knife", they pretty much say, "holy @#$!!" but when you put into context that it's gonna be used for firewood, shelter and protection/intimidation, it makes sense.
