Deals for 7/9--Pix Cherokee Rose, Bancharo, Katar and Awesome buys

The farm knife is plenty stout. The Farmcatta and Tamang do suffer from a light spine in my opinion. And yes, the heat treat is the culprit in edge failures. Just want to state that for the record. BTW-The farm knife by Kumar shouldn't still be here-as Bawanna says "knives should live in pairs" (my paraphrase..), so I will attempt to have it join my Tirtha made, buffalo horn hafted Farm knife. EMS. And DD.
Arbiter did you ever receive your Farm Knife? Your thoughts?

George-I like the Tirtha made, horn handled Farm knife I have had for years now, but I have 2 scheduled to arrive over the next 2 days, one of which will be going to my younger brother. Count me in on the Farm knife brotherhood.

Both the bamboo handled and the satisal handled Farm knives have arrived. These are heavier (thicker in cross section) than my older Farm knife, they also have a little longer handle. These two are as close to perfectly identical as a human being could make them without blanking the blades with a computer controlled waterjet. They are both exceptionally well made (pictures don't do them justice). I stropped the cutting edges, and had to do some handle grinding on the satisal version because the wood had shrunk somewhat. These take a back seat to no blade I own when it comes to chopping power-not even my Khadka bonecutter or Bhakta Super CAK. The blade geometry and weight of these knives place them at the apex of human powered cutting implements outside of heavy felling axes. Kumar did a superb job, and I recommend a Farm knife to any blade enthusiast who doesn't own one-don't delay or neglect picking one of these up when the opportunity presents itself.

I totally agree! My experience also and glad they’re not a disappointment to you!
