I would take all 3!

Already have a Crow knife though. It is overly awesome.

This Crow has the brass bezel around the Ying/Yang symbol, and a red leather sheath very cool.

Gawd...it's awful when broke...this one physically hurts....:grumpy:

15 inch 15 ounce KLVUK by Keshar Lal. Lali gurash wood handle. Sharp blade. $65.

You on the right thread there Mr. Tall. I think that was yesterday? I'm not seeing a KLVUK today. Maybe I'm blocked.

Disregard, it must have took awhile to come up this far. I see it now.

Good for you, good grab.

I didn't notice there wasn't a photo until after I sent the email. :o
Just noticed the photo is up now.

Edit: got the Done Deal. I've been wanting to get a "one ounce per inch" KLVUK like this one. :)

A week too soon for me on the Tin Chirra...but something of that sort is next on classic Nepali shopping list...

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again: I LOVE that style cho that Thamar has been putting on a lot of his blades. Super cool and wicked unique. More of this plz

Also, what is the difference between the Reti and a small Kobra, aside from the finish? Anyone know?

The Kobra is made from scratch like any other kukri, the Reti is made from an old file. It's not a finish it's what it started out to be. I don't have one yet but I will one of these days. Heard nothing but good things about them. Those lucky enough to have one seem to love them alot.

Ahhhh! Another Tin Chirra! Now I have to get one to make the set complete.

Nice light KLVUK Steve!

SingleGrind: "Also, what is the difference between the Reti and a small Kobra, aside from the finish? Anyone know?" Reti is the same but they are made from spent files. The remnant marks are cool. I would guess they have a bit more carbon content to them like most files do and may retain an edge a bit longer than 5160. Maybe not?

Finally. A reti blade that I find attractive and I find I'm late to the trough once again. You are lucky gentlemen this fine day.

Thank you Bookie =)

Obviously, I also found the blade to be singing my tune --> l:w of 14.5in:10oz was compelling (and I was impressed by craftmanship of 24in:24oz Kobra from Kumar which I got as a *blem* a few weeks ago)... edit: also, the intense darkness of the handle looks like it might be heartwood =)

Please, will you share your knowledge of/perspective on the Reti - for starters, why the name 'Reti'?

edit: found old thread - "Bura has saved the old files and recently got them converted to what he calls the Bura "Reti" (file) khukuri."

Thanks for the further info Bawanna... I was thinking that it might be a file knife (am pretty excited... will certainly post some pics when the knife arrives =)

I have to agree with Bookie once again. That's an especially attractive Reti. I suspect your gonna love it very much.

Wish there was a way to hold these puppies via cyber link or something, I just bet this one feels superb in hand. Be a lot easier than me driving all the way to your house just to see how it feels ya know?

Cool, 'cause I've never seen one of those.

I are be ignerant of the file nife two, and thanx fer thee leson.

been looking at photos of old khukuris and a multi-fullered wide blade goes way back....i have been trying to stay authentic/traditional/classic for the meanwhile...i came very close on this Tin Chirra but no sense in stressing budget over a delay...

Did not measure mailed-to-sis KLVUK but imagine it a 15"/15oz and excellent...the one i kept is 16"/16oz and excellent.....i would have loved to have kept the slightly lighter but it came far sharper and i had no time for edge work before a mailing deadline....

Oh wow, sounds like I missed out even more than I thought! I'd heard of file-knives and seen a couple pictures, but nothing that could hold a candle to this! Gotta keep my eyes peeled for one of these now too.. the list is getting longer...
