That's a super cool mask. Best one I've seen yet I think.

Got a special place for the Giant bowie too but sadly not today.......:(

Umi, LOL. Somebody get that sword & mask combo! When a kid knocks on your door this Halloween and yell "trick or treat," you say "just wait here for a sec and I will be right back..."

:D....I would love to see the look on some kids face who thinks he's wearing the scariest costume...too funny.

I would love the bowie but have something else multi-fullered on the way....starting to think i should have aimed higher than the Tarwar when i look at the bowie....

Never hurts to have a GCB laying around the house. and a Manjushree for that matter! Nice stuff today! Love that mask and glad to see those T-shirts back.

I didn't make the connection on the wearing the mask thing.

That's Pemba, he's a bunch taller than Auntie.

Pemba looks like "awe....do i hafta?" for these shots.....i think they all were dead from a redeye drive to someplace such as LA and back to pick up Kami Sherpa....not the REAL LA of Lower Alabama but that other one...the one on tv...or used to be....Dragnet....last show i recall mentioning the place...

I think Pemba enjoys stylin under the stars! Kinda like playin dominos till 2am and "hey lets do a photo shoot with some swords!". Classy fella if you ask me:thumbup:

Did you realize Yangdu is a woman?

Did you realize you will be first ever person to be charged $375 for a KLVUK?

I was so excited to finally catch a DOTD early. I was trying to be funny, obviously missed.

I read somewhere if you dont grow up by 50, you dont have to. In my case i probably should anyway.

Please excuse my childish attempt at humor, i am foolish.

Bawanna often signs his name with a diagnosis of a disease from which many of us suffer, myself included now pushing 60....one of my old sarges used different verbiage for me, saying i was a pot stirrer except he changed one little word....it was actually a real funny had it been aimed at me.....it would hide the Mr Rogers look....

There is a GCB in my future but not this one :-(.
Current CAD price is x1.3 + Intl shipping + duty fees makes it over $600
Not good times for us to buy southern of the border.

Hey, snowwolf, how are gifts handled?

Not much passion for gifts -

It's some sort of lottery. A nice lady working at the border/duty dept told me they cherry pick about 1 tenth of the packages for taxes and duty fees. The amount to pay extra is based on the value put on the paperwork. They would process them all if they could but apparently we don't have enough resources to make it in a timely matter. They do that to avoid too much delays and complaints.

It also depends on the time of the year... Low traffic periods probably get a higher rate of packages processed for taxes and duties.

The taxes and duties i can understand, as i posted on the Mossberg thread, as soon as some official makes a law as to what one thing "is", he automatically creates an equally lawful class of "what-is-not"...so a friend sending you a gift of some declared value decided on by the giver and those overseeing not seeing a problem with the value even when item examined would not be a problem....the problem would lie with poorly trained staff unable to assess a proper value.....

I imagine with you that the single largest obstacle is the exchange rate at the moment......i am considering a caplock musket from Loyalist Arms up your way and have been looking at the import here thereof....

But so much more tempting is the bowie....that is a beautiful knife...and of useful size for many purposes....
