Got it. I was started to sweat a bit before I finally got my "done deal" email from Yangdu. This is the blade that got me hooked on HI. It will be nice to hold it in my hand.

(And I'm afraid the Scotsman cuts a finer figure than I do these days. Our relative masses are probably close, but mine is distributed a little differently. :))

E-mail sent on Kumar Karda :D

Sarge

added: Kumar Karda Gone To Texas! Git 'r done

THAT's the one I would have gone for Sarge, dangit! First one I have ever seen with a smooth wood handle, has a unique shape to both the blade and handle, and the first by someone other than Kumar or Sher.

Very nice snag. Glad it went to someone who appreciates it.

I also think that R7 is very well done. The Bojpure is tempting and a bit different.

I would have gone for that one also,... I was too late. Nice snag.

I am surprised no one has picked up that 18in Ang Khola.

Edit:
Eh..what the heck, email sent on the 18 inch 7 ounce chiruwa Ang Khola Khukuri by Kumar. Himalayan hill walnut wood handle. 10/10 rig. Great buy at $145 YBB.

I guess its my responsibility to pick up what no one else gets....that R-7 is tempting as well...

I would have considered that one if my dream blade had not been included in the lot today.

I picked up my dream blade awhile back (antler m43), now I am just picking up another user.

if i could trade even for the nice villager 18" AK i have, in some cosmic fashion (sell it, get that), i'd probably consider it - it would nicely match the 20" - go for a matching series - and i DO prefer CAKs.

however, the villager is much sharper, as we know ;> one swipe and it'll go through 10" of oak *swish* like that :)

i'd also want a 15-16" matching one, and a 24 or 26" matching one ;)

sigh, collect the whole set.

the m43 reminds me a lot of the BDC which i adore, but different. this one has nice silver standard fitting, a light handle, which can be darkened up, and so forth. pretty blade. someday, i'll get one too.

Got one of those recently (antler M43). Now, I have to pick another blade to top the "most wanted" list. Oh, woe is me! ;)

Eric

There is something about M43s for sure. I have wanted one since I first saw it, for some reason to me the blade always looked like what a kuk should look like. The antler was just extra. :D

Here I go selling 2 kuks in order to make room, and here I am already buying a new one not even a week later.

Oh well, I guess thats what its all about (the addiction that is) :)

Yes, there is something about the continuous curve of the M-43, through the handle to the tip of the blade, that really appeals to me. A beautiful arc.
