jdk1 no need to apologize looks like Auntie is clearing stock to help with the flooding. Somebody hammered that 8/31 Xmas in August batch I'm not sure who it doesn't really matter just curious.
 
Got beat out on the jungle knife which didn't surprise me. I was watching close today but then one of my employees cut their hand open on a metal object so we had to do a first report of injury. I think I'll cut his other hand off tomorrow for having the audacity to make me miss out on this one. ;)
 
congrats on the bilton jdk1. this is my first time in the shark pool and i must say that it is alot funner than ebay.( especially because of the bid sniping programs used there grrr)
 
TheLastDaze, I apologize I may have been a bit abrasive in my reply to you in my post here. I work between 60 & 70 hours a week on salary so when feasible I bracket time around when the DOTD's are posted.
Fair warning to the other Sharks when I see the old style Bonecutter come back in in the 15"~16" range I'm taking a few personal days and wearing out a keyboard or 2 till I get one!

Just messing with you:D, I have multiple hobbies so I disperse funds as needed to each.. guns,atv's, my boat, music gear, hiking, they all need attention from time to time..

just jealous I didn't get no action today, or probably any other day....

but I should be getting my "Foxy Folly" very soon in the mail.. can't wait..
 
I'm assuming your FF is by Vim Kami? I received mine yesterday, amazing blade. Can't wait to try it out, I really don't think you will be disappointed.

As an employee in a small company I have a lot invested in the company and our customers. Lets just say I could take more vacation time than I do and no I don't ask to get paid for not taking it. It needs to get done? It gets done! Warn everybody I'm going to play hookie with my son at 9am on a Friday? You bet right before I set the Crackberry to ignore!
Hope you get to play with your Foxy Folly over the long weekend. You and Leo please let us know how those 2 behave... the blade style is growing on me.
 
Got a Bilton from this DOTD yesterday along with an early Christmas present from my son from Yangdu:D As soon as I pry the digital camera away from my wife I'll do a review and post pics. I will say its fun using a baby khukuri to open mail at work:p

Sorry OldSchool, as soon as I confirmed payment I had to bail-I was late for a 5 day rafting trip. Yangdu was a doll and held the shipping for me til I got back...
 
Dan, you might get a pic of my wife giving the Blackberry the AK treatment. Its better than her using it on the CincinnatiBell rep:eek:
PayetteRucker, I don't want to give any nefarious idiots any more ideas but I assure you Yangdu did not hold this shipment up on your account. 3 business days count on it like the sun coming up tomorrow.
I'll let the cat out of the bag but no pics. There was a small I think antler handle (with buffalo horn spacer) brass bolster and pommel trailing point knife in with the 9" Bilton. Yangdu calls "The Tiger Killer Knife." It is a present to my son from Yangdu and will be his first woods walking knife. I'll post pics of my son and the knives when I get the good camera back. Karda, you've got me spoiled on the macro function on my good camera.
 
I don't doubt she would hold someone for a few days till they were able to receive it. Might not be the same knife she said she had another one in stock.

This last shipment came with delivery confirmation and insurance which my past ones lacked. Its both prudent on her part and disturbing to me in the reasons for it and the implications. I don't consider Yangdu to be innocent or naive but the idiots (not Warty) who made her change the procedures and practices that her late husband Uncle Bill put in place make me mad beyond words. Karma can be a blessing or a curse but you get to decide which. They've chose theirs.
 
I paid for the thing before I left... It's not like I left sitting on the bill... Payment was sent within 3 minutes of confirmation that the knife was mine. sigh. Whatever. Think what you want.
 
PayetteRucker, we were posting at cross purposes. I thought you were apologizing for holding up my shipment. What you did was the same thing I would do if I nailed down a DOTD before catching a flight to Florida although in my case I might have her ship to where I would be. Its all good relax:D
The Second half (my rant) had absolutely nothing to do with you and I'm sorry I didn't make that more clear. I'm going to stop right here before Karda has to move this to the Cantina or somewhere else.
