Deals for 9/25 -- Pix and Awesome buys

How long is the handle on the sword?
It looks like the long-handled custom sword I ordered...
The original tibetan sword had a 9" handle, right?

Hi Danny,

Guess I'm in a unique position to reply as I bought the long handled sword from you (via Dan Koster) and also had Yangdu make me a custom sword of the size she has pictured in this thread.

Anyway:
Long-handled Tibetan is 34 1/2 inches OAL, 23 1/4 inch blade (tip to guard), 11 1/2 inch handle (including guard thickness of about 3/16 in).

Shorter bladed, long-handled Tibetan is 28.5 inches overall, 18 inch blade (tip to guard), 10 3/8 inch handle (including guard thickness of about 3/16 in).

Rich

Forgot. I should add...
Standard Tibetan: OAL 32 inches, Blade 23 inches, 8 7/8 inch handle (including guard thickness of about 3/8 in).

Here's a pic of the three of them. Standard on top. Long-handled in center, shorter long-handled on the bottom.

Welcome to the forum Original.

If you would like the kukri you will need to email Yangdu at HimImp@aol.com
Make sure you include which kukri you want, how you will be paying and your address. Also adding the deal of the day date (DOTD 9/25)

Best of luck.

Thanks Skyler, I will make corrections, didn't get the dotd in there. Great forum here, it feels like home, as I see many Oregon folks here. Thanks again, Dave.
