Deals for 9/25 -- Pix, villagers and awesome buys

Darn - out sharked on the Gelbu. Second-choice ganga ram was also claimed, so I have a pretty little YCS Karda coming my way. Can't say I'm disappointed.

You won't be! The YCS kardas a sweet knives. I have a 11"er and it's a beaut. The balance on it is amazing.

That Sarge is tempting.

Happy BD Uncle Bill! Wish I'd known ya, but your legacy here makes me feel like had.

I keep comming back to look at the UBE, I must resist though..I am saving my pennies for a bolo. :)

well, reprofiling a nice find axe with a rather choppy abrupt unsmooth edge was very satisfying. ah, yes. if i smoked i would... but since i don't, well...

i sent email on that attitude. cuz i got some now :> had an axe to "grind" so to speak. yar.

My budget thanks you!

The Attitude is a bit of a unsung hero. It is light to carry, useful for most what ails in the way on the trail, and a bargain. It has the slimmest profile because the sheath lacks the auxillory tools. I almost never take those tools with me in a regular khuk because they are easily lost. On a day hike I have not found them essential. If the steel of your khuk is properly hardened and sharp, it will do much work before becoming dull. HI khuks are so. Carrying the extra weight of the small tools is unneccesary. The Attitude is a great attempt by Sher of HI to offer an economical essential camp tool or light duty companion.

Happy birthday Uncle Bill. :)

Been quite some time since I have seen a UBE or a Garud Ang Khola up for sale. The Ganga Ram and the YCS are a down right steal at this price.

True enough, and I believe that Garud is the first ever offered in something other than satisal or chandan. (?) I really like the looks of it and the Attitude very much, not to mention the neem handle on the UBE, which is a rarity unto itself.

I know I won't be. My Khuk collection better represents Sher than Kumar, but I know he does good stuff. I also know the YCS kardas are quality - I saw one that somehow got separated from it's parent YCS in the Sacred Shed in Reno. Glad they're finally offered as a seperate item.

Now, as for the GELBU - apparently it wasn't sold, I just worded my email poorly. Somebody out there NEEDS a GELBU. Otherwise, I'll have to mine the couch coins for enough cash to knock back a Heineken in Bill's honor. :D

Third from the left, fifth from the left, and the very last knife in the very last picture (on the bottom).

In general, big khuks are listed first, going left to right as they show up in the picture. Small ones tend to get put where they fit. In this list, after you get through the big ones, the small ones go right to left. It's almost like the first picture is laid out counter-clockwise, starting at about 7:00

Thanks so much.. looks like the ones that I'm interested in are all gone!!! well.. good for my wallet..:)

Email sent on 12 inch 15 ounce baby Ang Khola by Sher. Horn handle. $50.00

Attention foxmd, I just opened my box from Yangdu and it has your baby Ang Khola in it. I've sent an email to Yangdu letting her know. Did you by any chance receive a box with my villager chitlangi inside? If so, please contact me through the forum, I wasn't able to email you through the forum for some reason.

Thanks,

olpappy

You may want to check applicable postal regulations. It may be unlawful to exchange a baby for a villager through use of the U.S. Postal Service. :D

(Sorry, it's Friday afternoon and I'm getting a little punchy.)
