Sisau seems to be the new chandan. Really nice, and even tougher wood IMO. I snagged the first chandan malla (by Sher) way back when, and it was $55 more than this and still a pretty good deal. Whoever got this one is in for a treat.

P.S. There's a first there on that Malla I have never seen before on any HI knife. Did anyone notice that karda? There's a little brass bolster on it unless my eyes are deceiving me.
 
If I didn't get a puukko a few days ago, that sarge would be pretty damn sweet lookin'. What am I saying, it is! But I can't, alas...

Would you just look at the carving on that KK's handle. Could whoever snagged it please be sure to post some close up pics of that thing so the rest of us can wring our hands and weep. :( :D

That Malla sure is a steal, if it isn't the cheapest a Malla has been sold for then its close. I didn't notice the karda until you mentioned it, classy touch. :thumbup:

Both my 25" and 18.5" Mallas have a little mini-Mallas with brass bolster and cho... thought they all did, always.

A neat knife on its own.

Not being rude, but when you stop and think about it Yangdu is already working her butt off. Seems only reasonable that folks try to work around her schedule since it's her show. I know it's a real pain for those of you in different time zones, but I also know where there's a will there's a way. Have you e-mailed Yangdu and incquired if she might have another Pen Knife? Might not be that one exactly, but if she does have another one like it, I'm pretty sure she'll square you away. No one that I know of works harder to take care of her customers.

That's what I took it for.

Occasionally, Yangdu does offer DOD's late night Pacific time US.
There really isn't any way to be completely 'fair'; even computers and programs have different speeds. DSL owners can bid faster..

Sarge's suggestion of emailing Yangdu is a good one.

Well, every dog has his day - looks like I just had mine. Bura Pen, and the sweetly carved KK both heading in my direction - cannot beleive my luck. Have missed picking up both of these puppies so many times - almost lost count.
So Tetsusaiga, keep the faith and keep an alarm clock handy (I live 8 hours time difference from Reno) - you'll have your turn. ;)
