WOW

Those look great. Sher really has that long arch down to a science. And a UBE for 95 bucks!! AND it looks like real steel fittings? I wish i had the money for it.

The Sher special has just a tad more weight than a Kobra of the same size. I'm tempted...

The Carved Ang is hurting me.

No money. No cards.

I got the Kukri Blues.

Traditional bolster. No cho creep. Beautiful scabbard. Great carving.

Yangu,

Email sent on Bilton.

Hope you got it. I've bought a few biltons as gifts, and think thats about the nicest looking handle I've seen.

If that AK is still there when I get home from work, I'm going to be very angry at you all for making me part with my hard-earned $125. (I won't even start on why a 14" YCS karda is still sitting there...)

Just a friendly warning. ;)

Good stuff, got the Bilton. :D

Satori, I hear ya. That carved AK is beautiful. Karda's nice too. Anyone have anything with that kind of wood?

No, it's gone and I missed it. I am just going to have to do what Uncle Bill counseled me to do several times and just learn to be more patient! I bought this same knife from Kumar with brass habaki bolster and cho creep, and here is Sher doing them traditionally now! Of course, the old dilemma is if you wait at all you're taking a chance you'll never see their like again, but you can only do so much.

This Sher special that Dean got was really a nice knife today, and I hope to see more of those coming. I got a "Bura Special" a couple of months ago, but it is far more hanshee like with more curve to it. Any idea as to what you would call this blade type?

I was going to try for the YCS karda as well, but think my mind is subconsciously protecting my bank account, as I waited a full half-hour before responding to anything, just staring at the screen and deciding if I really "needed" another knife. ;) One of these big YCA kardas will come along with my name on it some day and I'll get the right one for me.

Regards,

Norm

No, that's the first we've seen of this type of wood as far as I know. Looks like a darker satisal.

I was driving home and thought to myself...wonder if Norm beat me to the Ang Khola. It seems the kamis have our number... I'm addicted to Sher Ang Kholas (this is #4).

I was done (sent in my order for #20) today and for a while. And, I just had to stop and take a peak since I was online to mail the purchase. And there it was and everyone had posted and nobody had bought it and I read down to Ferguson's post and it was all over...
