GTAZ? GTOK?

gone to arizona? oklahoma?

otherwise stumped.

Pen is using special effects from comic books.

Example 1 (from comic book) Batman: Take that Joker... KAPOW!

Example 2 (from HI forum) Pen: Sirupati gone... GTOK!

This shows the speed at which he's shipping the items.

 ;) :)

Last one left is the 18" Sirupati....

It is nearly perfect. Made of chandan - the only flaw is that the buttplate is slightly larger than the handle - "Ten minutes with a file". The figure and finish is outstanding - as good as the Fox Follies we got it.

Do I need a better pic?

Sirus are kinda like the red-headed step children, aren't the?. i'd love to take it home, but i have too much on my plate this week. Looks like Bura made it. Top notch:)

Why do you consider the sirus "like the red-headed step-child"?

Agreed they don't chop quite as well as the heavier weight khuks. But their lighter weight and quickness make them great for lighter brush and self defence. I love my siru and if I wasn't saving for Blade I'd be all over this one!

Don't worry... I'm neither red -headed nor a step-child.... :p

Edit:
Forgot to thank Dan for doing this! It was quite a sight to see dotd with your name under it!!

Wow...what a surprise! I'd have guessed we were without DOTD for at least a month. Think I'd better let Norm have first crack at that Village GR...lol. The tiny little khuks. are cool. Hope more come up for sale down the road. Each of my teen boys need one. Thanks for running this Dan K.

Jeff

Many thanks for the consideration Jeff, but I am 5 hours late to this unexpected DOTD. Although I am looking for Villager BGRS's in the 17-18" range, I would have snapped up this one today if I had been anywhere near it!

Unfortunately work interefered or I would have been online at 9 am., but probably still too late.

Regards,

Norm

I thought about going for it since I have no narrow bladed khuks, but unless a villager comes along I'll probably opt for a Gelbu Spec eventually.

It's a great deal as well. I think I paid $125 for a 20" chandan siru a couple of weeks ago.

Norm

Edit: Just checked. It was $125 for the same sized Siru as today. Mine was also 18" and 22 oz. with chandan handle. I think Yangdu sees me coming...! (0-:

yes....it's a steal at $80. I really can't take it any lower, guys.....:(

Somebody grab it...

Great of you to do this Dan. Very time consuming what with the photography, and the posting. Then there's the packaging and shipping.

I honor you.

Actually, i'm kinda partial to them:) I think they just get lost in the mix of what most khuk knuts go for. They are plenty strong, but just not up to heavy chopping like the AKs GRSs or even the WWIIs. It always seems that the poor siru is left out in the cold at DOTD time. Although the 15"ers tend to go fairly quickly and the 20"ers do a good deal of work for their weight. I guess it's the 18" Siru that is the Oliver Twist of the siru family. I wish i could take them all home:) Anyone that feels like sending me your siru ophans, please feel free.

Jake

It's just waiting til its master comes along.

Maybe today, maybe tomorrow.

Chandan has the mystery of the ages in it.

Yes - I agree.

Maybe this will help it's Master find his/her way.....:D
