Deals of the Day - 5/3 - 1 woodie, 3 hornies

Nice to hear from the Mrs. A guy can sweat and budget for months and years, then think nothing of spending a thousand on a firearm.

It's just life, and funny!
When we were having a hard time and going under, my wife had over a hundred bucks worth of half eaten cereal in the cabinet. That drove me crazy.

The one good thing about most, but not all of my 'toy's, is that you can get your money out of them. Not true on my Mountain Bike. But it represented an investment in health and the outdoors. Cost me two firearms to get the 1300 bucks to buy it!

You sound lovely, Mrs Raiser.

This is the first deal I have tried to snag in 2 years. I think the Virus went into hibernation, but its back

Ok,
You can take a breath in between, but my God, four in three days!!!!

Haven't had time to swallow yet..........

You guys.................(said with a smirk on her face, and a sigh, because she shall loves her Geoffrey so much!!!)

Ok, one of the four was for me, but it is just a little one.

And look, I signed in under my husbands screen name BY ACCIDENT :grumpy:

I got my wife a little khuk one day. It had a heart- a little balance model. I liked it so much I kept it. It was for Valentines day- I needed to know I was loved. I got her an even smaller khuk a 12" Sirupate. This stays in the truck. Sometimes I think I should give the little balance model back to her, but naaaawww.

She did swipe my Ruger 10/22 Deluxe and all the mags. And we did get her a little 22 semi auto handgun.

I'd love to have one of those Ruger 10/22 RSI's. This year I finally got a Model 77 RSI in .243. Haven't had a chance to hunt with it yet but it handles fantastic. Been trying to get it sighted in. Got it dead on at 50 yds and then shot some at 150 and shot a great group, but about 8" high and to the left  . Will try to dial it rest of the way in next wknd.

Have always loved those mannlicher stocks. My first gun, which I still own some 32 years later is a 94 Mauser and I always loved the look of that which the 77 and 10/22 RSI's are similar to. :)

If you are bagging the stock, that could cause the high and left grouping.

.

Just sent Dan an email on the wood WWII khuk. I'm pretty sure I'm in the same boat as Geoffrey now!

I wish there were more places to target shoot in my area. I don't like boar hunting.

At 25 oz the wooden handled WWll should still chop well, Roughedges. I do prefer them a little heavier but this should carry well and be all around useful.

You'll have time to get a heavy chopper later.

Thanks Nasty! I was. Using 50 lbs of cracked corn in front and a rolled up sweater in the back off of my truck hood  I need to get a proper gun rest I guess. ;)

That Hanshee makes me drool. Silver, no habaki, no cho creep, the size I'm looking for, my favorite Kami. God, why?!?

My excuse is that I did bite (if only for a Kagas Katne) yesterday and I'm saving for an AK-47. This is now largely the source of my brokeness. Oh, well. It'll be worth it in the end. (sob) ;)

Hollow, unless you sight-in with the same conditions as you field shoot, you will not get the same point of aim. I shoot off my wrists and elbows to sight in and work up loads.
The purpose of a solid rest is only to establish how absolutely accurate a load is, unless one is involved in competition. We can wonder what defines 'solid rest' as well, because the Ransom Rest for handguns can be beaten by mere humans.

Right. Wanted to get it on the paper before I started trying to shoot in any offhand or taking a rest off of trees way :)
