Dear Benchmade,

Sorry for the late response, was jamming to METALLICA LIVE suckerz!

Here are some pics to illustrate my point. All it takes is a 10 min drive and I can take pics of over 50 BMs to compare if need be.
...

Im not trying to dog BM. If stating personal preference and why than I guess I am guilty. This is a Dear BM thread, if everything I complained about was non existent, than I would probably give them my $. Before I had any clue about designs (that I truly apprecaite) or ethics, I gave them my $, I could again someday.

While you're at it, take a few pictures of Kershaws, Bucks, CRK, CRKT, ad infinity.

Your whole allegation amounts to merely being a preference for "finger choils".

"Finger choils" have some use, usually when choking up on a blade, but are hardly the end-all of great knife design.

Nor do "finger choils" neccessarily mean "safe", as a niffty scar in my index finger, ala' Military, will attest.

Im not trying to dog Spyderco.

I have found that the comet-shaped hole of the Byrds works just as well as a round hole, as the part of the comet that your thumb is pushing on is circular.

Byrd, Spyderco, Benchmade Black, Blue and Red. There are fine products in all of the ranges.

Hahah. BM seems like they're coming to be coming out with some good stuff in the future like the Lum,MPR and Bone Collector.

I disagree with everything but no.5. My 940 Osborne was one of the dullest things out of the box i've ever held. You'd have to try really hard to cut yourself.

What about this one?

The 812 AFCK in M2 was my fave, I had dozens of M2 BM's. Bring back the M2 steel, make it limited, charge a little more for it, love that tool steel..!!! Beef up the liner lock of the AFCK like the modern BM's, make it in M2, and you have my full attention..

Agreed on bringing back the AFCK, in both sizes!

And how about the 705 while we're at it.

All the BMs I like are either disco'd (Rukus, Skirmish, AFCK Axis) or have a major flaw (Lum LFTi; NO provision for lefty opening OR closing and the M4 is less hard than, say, a Gayle Bradley, and 710; it's recurved :() or about to come out:D (this is the best bit: MPR looks really nice, Lum Onslaught too)

What's that AFCK-looking thing above?

Tell me about the M4 vs the M2? I have not yet owned any M4's..

I love the small size of the AFCK's, but like I said above, the liner lock could use some beefing up in comparison to say the Skirmish and others. I have a Mini-Skirmish I'll be selling. The knife is a work of art, the Titanium handles, and that Ti liner, killa. The only issue I have is the size, for me even the Mini is huge! The AFCK is so slender in comparison and takes up such little pocket room.. The perfect razor edge I would put on my 812 M2, miss it.

I really wish I had not missed out on these, they sold out in less than 2 days? I wish benchmade would bring back the 806...

There was dealer in Canada that got 10 of these and they sold out in less than an hour. Some are selling in Japan and Germany but at a much higher mark up.

I can live without the thumbstuds & hole for opening & closing. Use the Axis for that. Gary

I have a Benchmade 10100SBP (LFK Serrated) love this knife :D Honestly I like the way the knives are, seen a few and would like to get the BM HD Hardtain Large knife but out of my price range at the moment, beautiful work though.
