Please make a slipit in H1 steel. Preferably with several handle color choices, but at least black and yellow. Maybe on the ukpk lightweight platform, since this is more of an outdoorsy knife.

If you make this knife, I will buy one million of them. People like me who are limited in what they can legally carry will hold parades in celebration, name city streets after you, and send you greeting cards and fruit baskets on every holiday, including groundhog day. Especially groundhog day. Stories of your deeds will echo through eternity, and when my grandchildren ask me who that statue is of, I will say "That man, THAT MAN, is the father of the slipit salt." And they will know.

Seriously I want one of these knives :D

I find it crazy that you are limited to only carrying a slip joint in TX.

But an H1 slip joint would be a good idea. I know there are plenty of Europeans who would appreciate it. Only problem is that H1 is a Japanese steel and they don't export their steels.

Well, the Urban slipit was made in Japan. So if they do make slipits with h1, it'll just be a Japanese knife.

Not limited to slippies by TX state law, but by city of San Antonio. TX is, as you might imagine, very knife friendly, with a max blade length of 5.5 in, fixed or folding, with no concealment restrictions, and if you're "performing a sport or activity" where a longer blade is typically used or required, that's ok too. The city of San Antonio passed laws against locking knives to deter gang activity. I'll let you guess how well that worked

Probably worked about as well as the laws against assault and battery. A slipit with H1 is an interesting idea.

Dang I live in Austin and I wasnt aware of that, I might have or might not have carried a locking knife in SA recently :foot:

I have been banging the drum for an H1 slipit with a sub 3" cutting edge for some time. I'd buy a serrated and PE version (to add to the million the OP is buying.)

To make the most of H1 a fully serrated option seems a good idea. A slipit version of the H1 Dragonfly would be good.

I live in hope. Go on, Sal!

I'd buy one or two,as long as they weren't black.I'm so tired of black.

I'm not tired of black at all, I think the Microtech UTX-80 Tactical is a gorgeous knife. Grail.
Minorgrail- Spyderco auto in all black (can't remember the name)

Well, it's good they passed that law, criminals always obey the law...

Interesting idea though, the H1 slipit.

I'm currently in love with the UKPK, and definitely don't have anything against H1.

Hi Mlanghornes,

What model did you have in mind? In reality, it would have to be a new model, but that's not impossible.

Hey Sal, nice to see you mate and my first post :) new knives in H1 mmm, sorry to go OT Mlanghornes, but it had me thinking and chatting to some other divers and we think the Pygmy in H1 with the Spyderco serrations and a rounded butt would make the perfect tool for any diver to tag on their buoyancy compensator/stab jacket, a line cutter and slicer is just is needed and that market is seriously lacking in good blades. I would concur with D1omedes I think plenty of Europeans would be keen on a slipit in H1.

A slipit H1 would be a really cool idea. "Mediterranean Salt" would be a good name, in line with the Atlantic and Pacific Salts. Or "North Sea Salt," maybe.

An H1 slip-joint hawkbill (with choil) would be great.
I'd prefer it with G-10 scales rather than FRN though, maybe in orange.:)
