Dear ZT 0550

I'm a big fan of the diagonal etchings into the G-10 handle of the 0550. It's the same thing that makes the Piston, Brawler, and Thermite so attractive to me.
 
The stock g10 is very functional. I just don't care for the aesthetics of it. I'm not much for looks, but if I'm practically attaching something to myself every day of my life (edc), I might as well make it suit me in every way possible.

I've dreamed on two separate occasions that I ordered one. I didn't really think about it in my dream, just "Oh yes! Just need to wait a few days..." Then I woke up... I was happy at first... then reality...

Maybe I'll find a box with $150 in it if I dig in the backyard here...
 
I'll share a pic of my 551 just as I received it from chester. Its weird I have owned that knife for over a ,month and only flipped it open about 15-20 times. The original had lock rock sent it in Kai replaced it. Replacement had lock rock. But we all know Kai customer service is top notch this time they said they inspected replacement prior t shipping bandits solid as a rock! I can't wait I do kind of like the 55x knives but I wouldn't call it love the 56x stole my pocket before I was introduced to a 55x

I agree...the 0550 just fits my hand so much better than the 0560. I'm contemplating a DLC 0550 as well. Here's a pic of my 0550 with one of my Bengal Tiger scales on it. This is the one I kept for me self. ;

I can save for one within a couple weeks, but I usually cave and spend the money on other knives. Maybe I can sell something, or lurk the trade exchange.

Love mine, hate the look of the factory scale. Got a replacement from Rival and a frag scale from monkeyedge.
