Deassisted My Blur Today...

I have always liked the blur and I own many. They all have their torsion bars installed, I prefer the blur assisted it pops open very nicely either way so personal preference yo whatever someone likes. I just happen to like it assisted better
 
I've always preferred manual folders. The fact that this AO folder has a manual detent allowing it to be "de-assisted" is fantastic. I've had 2 Blurs and removed the torsion bars on both. Tighten the pivot up tight, rock solid lockup, opens easy.

Had my ZT 0301 de-assisted as well. Sent it off to a friend of mine to drill a small divot for the detent ball to fall into when closed. Love it.
 
The blur I had was nice and smooth deassisted (I believe SaintlyBrees has it now). I agree that it is great the blur has a manual detent so you can choose your flavor. When I get around to having a detent added to my 0301, it will see a lot more pocket time.
 
I usually prefer non assisted knives but actually like my Blur assisted, the thumbstud shape and how hard it fires makes it quite enjoyable.
 
I know this isn't about a blue by I deassisted my CRKT my toghr and it's so awesome now

I do. In fact, it was the one that I was talking about up in post #6. ;)

I have to admit, it worked well deassisted. Just personal preference and the fact that you can choose is very cool, IMHO.
