If potato, you're blowing potterma's South Beach. If poker, you're taking quite a gamble. Wood chips might work, but I always get shivers and think of Fargo. :eek:

Man, KAAK, for a second there, you had me goin'... I thought, "Wow, I wish I could just gut an old computer for some boards or chips or something and make mine run faster. KAAK must have some SKILZ!"

It's still running at the speed of a three legged horse that was just shot, but I am working one it. Downloading programs and such so I can atleast save pictures. :cool:

I would buy some hardware to improve it, but it is taken over by the priority of blade. I have the $$$ for a plane ticket, just need to start savin' for a hotel room and will have to call to see how much of a deposit they are gonna need. I got a killer (as in cool) room mate. So that helps, just gotta play it by ear.

Folder?!? :D ;)

Schweeeeeeeeeeeeeet... Nothing in stone, but tomorrow I book my plane ticket and hotel room. Blade Show is on (For me!!!) And I get the privalege of rooming with a hog that I have GREAT respect for. Won't mention who so he doesn't get harassed :eek: :D ;)

I think I discover why Jerry makes knives... The smell of micarta on a 2"x72" 60 grit belt. Linen micarta has an awesome smell. I spent four hours last night with a local knife maker. Did some grinding on D2 and micarta. Gotta get it heat treated, finish grinding, shape/finish the handle, finish/polish the blade and sharpen it. :D :eek:

So I FINALLY GOT A HOBBY!!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :D ;)
 
Careful, KAAK, next thing you know, you'll be namin' and numberin' those things, and you'll have to upgrade your BF status. :D

This is gonna make me sound like an old worry wart, but so be it....

Did you wear a respirator, KAAK??? DO NOT grind micarta (or anything else) without a respirator. Its a little annoying at first, but worth it in the long run!

OK, I'm stepping down off my soap box, now....

Considering the fact I'm not all there :rolleyes: I went the stupid/crazy route. No hearing, eye or lung protection. I know, back on the soap box. I should hopefully get it heat treated in a couple days, but not sure yet. I'll post some pics... Well, rather email them so I don't seem rude to Jerry. Hopefully in "Two Weeks" or less :cool: :D
