Death stick, Deluge or ?????

Titanium is tough, but it is not hard. after some use, it will start to mushroom, Unless it is alloyed with another material. Then its not titanium, but a Ti alloy.

We made some 600.00 hammers for the military back in the 80's. They were made from non sparking alloys, machined out of solid, environmentally tested, EM tested, certified, etc. they were for use in ICBM Silo's.
Nothing like banging on a 20 Kiloton warhead with a Hammer to clean out your system.

If you want to see a fancy hammer, check out this Estwing .

The Ti hammers I think are supposed to give you higher head speeds so you can drive nails just as fast, with a lighter hammer (of the same size). So your 22oz framer only weighs 18oz but still drives nails as well and you're less tired/sore at the end of the day. I think they make one with a replaceable steel face too.

Have you used this hammer? How good is it? It looks like it won't stay in a hammer loop though. That's one weird looking hammer.

I haven't tried it out. I saw them when I was walking through my local Home Depot and it just stopped me in my tracks.

Until my current Estwing lets me down, I'm really not going to be in the market for another hammer.

Weird is the word. It may be the cat's meow for all I know, but somebody, somewhere, is going to get laughed off the jobsite when they show up with one.
Hardtails just don't accept change easily:o
