I'd say, if the extra body is of the opposite sex, the same shelter is fine, if of the same sex, different shelter unless it's *really* cold! 
Great article Jeff, even though I've seen the posts before, I picked up a bit reading it again, hadn't thought about the sticks being too long and poking out above the ridge pole causing water to drain down them and leak.
And you folks who are new here, yes Jeff really does give away great knives to people who put out honest effort! Anyone can win something, even a fat old guy like me!
But the real prize is the knowledge you gain by actually going out an doing it! I'm already trying to think of how I might be able to try and build a shelter, differently from how I did it last time. And bring a bucket so I can *really* test the waterproofing, like Adam did!
