Decarb? Soft spots?

hello guys. I HT two knives and I noticed these strange lines after initial grinding after quenching. It is strange as these two knives were made from different steels. One had vertical and the other horizontal satin finish prior to HT. I've used these steels a lot before and never had any problems. On the first knife - long dagger the lines were only present in the blade section near the tang. They reach pretty deep. one steel was 1075 and the other one 80CrV2.
The only thing I can think of, that could cause it, is to slow cooling (quenching). (maybe my oil somehow expired) Could this be a reason? Have you ever seen anything like this?
Seems like the steel is also softer in these spots. I thought it was a decarburization but it goes much deeper than the normal decarb would. I would appreciate any help.
