Nice looking knife and I like burlap scales but with a tighter Christmas budget this year I opted to pass. The Mrs. does get to open the Nov. BOM Santoku Chef's knife on Christmas day tho.

I already got two of the SKBlades version in burlap and cpm154 so I didn’t jump. This one is nice and I’d like to see how this burgundy color looks.

I'm a 501 fan, but...
Way over priced. The DLT s35vn version is only $85. The SK Blades version, while being a barehead, is the same basic knife with the same steel was only $95.

I agree with mbkr....way overpriced. I love 154cm, but you can get one with elk and s30v for close to the same price. I dunno, as soon as I saw the e-mail I was excited because the 501 is one of my favorite knives, but then I saw the price tag.

I didn’t get the email till a day later and they were already sold out. It seems my ISP server is slow on some emails. But I wasn’t interested in this one anyway. I just hope the ones I am interested in get through okay.
