Recommendation? Decent Angle Guide for Diamond / Whetstone??

Huge thanks to T Twindog ! Your wedge is so simple, yet instantly effective.
I spent $30 for a Smith’s tri-hone as an experiment. It works surprisingly well.
This is my first attempt. Not hair shaving, but there is always a learning curve.

Edit: I made a 20* also. For EDCs, but will practice on non critical stuff for awhile. Thanks again!

That's awesome. Everybody has to find his or her own way. There is no system that works for everyone.
You can buy several Tri-Hone Sharpener. Is this the version with coarse and medium grit synthetic stones and a fine Arkansas?

How do I insert pictures into my posts please?
It depends on your membership. As a basic member you need a Webhoster. Upload your image and paste the link (direct link for forums) into your post.

I found the tri-hone in Walmart, mfg. by Smith. ($30)
Realizing, this system is far from upper scale, it does work in my unskilled hands. Most of the credit goes to the ramp.
The angle aids are tempting, but the ramp seems to be an instant success for me anyway.
I never knew there were so many ways to sharpen a knife.
