Decided to start saving for a Busse.

Sorry for poor pic, but here's one

Sorry to bother you guys again, but I have another question. Just how much customization can you request when ordering direct from Busse Combat? I really like the look of the nuclear meltdown finish, as well as the serrations on the spine of their knives. Are those customs, or can you request to have them put on any knife for extra $'s?

P.S. The more I look at Busse knives, the more I need one! I can feel my wallet emptying just looking at them.

Edit: Thanks a lot for the pic Duramax, any pics in hand?

Those are questions for Garth. You will not get official answers here.

Awesome! Thank you very much Duramax. So since you have both, which one do you prefer for general use?

Tough call, you mention that you don't need to chop or baton. But you'd like to be able if you had to. It's been said here that it's better to have a large knife, that you can make do small tasks, then to have a small knife that cannot do large tasks. I kinda butchered that but I'm sure you get the drift. The TGLB has the size, light weight, hollow ground edge that can slice. The SOB is perfect for a knife its size, so much I'll be back for another. The SOB is perfect for carry for me and is great at a lot of tasks but is limited by size. I'm sure you could baton with it, but chop ? Probably not ?
Again tough call that you will have answer for yourself as to what you'll use more.
In the end once you decide and get one, you'll be looking for a second lol:eek::D

Having prior experience with both of these, the TG would win out in regards to versatility/general use. 8" seems to be about the sweet spot for jack of all trades/master of none……

Where the SOB wins out for me is the ease of carry, i.e.. more likely that you'd be willing to carry it on body. Therefore, it's more likely that you'll have it when you need it. Still large enough to be considered a belt knife that can do more, but small enough to where light chopping is about all you'll get from it.

Contact Garth at the custom shop and see what adding serrations will cost, it should be extra on top of the price you will pay for the stock knife.

First off, welcome to the Busse Family :D I love to see new people around here  I absolutely love the Team Gemini LB. I bought one for my brother and that is his go to knife for everything he does. It wasn't the first one I bought him (which was a SCABS) but out of all the knives I have given him, he loves that one the most. On another note, the SOB LE is a lot better for the smaller tasks and still works like a tank. Please remember this also. . . If you order the blade, regardless of which one you choose, and for some reason you do not like the way it feels or fits in your hand, you can always return the blade and replace it with your other option. (As long as it is returned within 5 days from the delivery date).

We want you to walk away satisfied with your purchase! Once you figure out which one you like, then comes the hard part. The color combo  Unless you have that already in mind! If so, then you are set to go. Give us a call if you have any questions :D
