Should I put the "Old Yeller" RR trapper or large Stockman, or the (bright Irish Green) "Stroke of Luck" Trapper or large Stockman … or the "Riders of the Silver Screen" Hopalong Cassidy Moose in my pocket for January's carry?

Place ye vote. :)

Poll will run fer 24 hours.
Yeah, I know I should a asked on New Years Eve …

EDIT: I may not have been clear. All are a Rough Rider.

I feel with my fingers … Presuming you feel the same way, maybe if you took off your gloves or mittens you'd feel better?

"Hopalong" knife of course!! No-one's ever reported on one that I know of!!
They were by Camillus I think!!?

I think they were.
Mine is a Rough Rider RR1838, though.
I saw a original Camillus (I forget which rider it was) on AAPK, I think it was.
Way too rich for my blood. If I so much as touched that one, I'd likely burn my fingers.

Will this be the only knife you carry all month??
If so, I'd definitely go with a stockman for the blade variety, probably the everyday yellow rather than the lucky green.

Of course not. At the very least I'll have the Marbles Folding Hunter or a Buck 110 on my belt. :)
It may be the only knife in my pocket, though. I might (probably will?) add a canoe, 4 blade scout/camp knife, or Barlow to keep it company. :)

That's what I figured, but just wanted to make sure. ;)
The canoe gives you spear/pen, the scout probably spear/punch, the Barlow clip or spear, and pen. Trappers and moose will add clip/spey, while stockman gives you clip/spey/sheepsfoot.
Same conclusion for me: you get an additional blade shape (Sheepsfoot for the win!) with a stockman.

ETA: Oops! I never actually voted in the poll. Gonna do that right now, and then head for bed and sleep easy!

Looks like the yella stockman is in the lead. For the moment, at least.
If the winner is a 2 way tie, I think I have a coin around here somewhere to break it. (If not, I'm pretty sure staff will have one I can borrow for a moment or three.)

In my book, Trappers and Moose stand no chance over Stockman;) Yellow D is always good but Green's my favourite colour, but that luck of the Irish...:( got one of those as a Canoe, got to be the most kitsch and tasteless knife I own:D:eek:

I have that RR Stroke of Luck canoe, too, Will.
I agree that it has abundant kitsch (maybe not the most kitsch of all my knives ), but does that necessarily make it tasteless??
