I have that RR Stroke of Luck canoe, too, Will.
I agree that it has abundant kitsch (maybe not the most kitsch of all my knives ), but does that necessarily make it tasteless??

All depends on your perspective or' taste' For me, kitsch by definition can never be tasteful Others believe otherwise though.

I don't know how "tasteless" it is. I've never tried to take a bite out of it, nor have I ever licked it. (or any of my knives.)

I will say "It is one of my fancier canoes." (bolsters) and IMHO has a ... "friendlier" … if you will ... green than say the "Zombie Nick" canoe and sunfish.

The bolsters, shield. and green on the "Stroke of Luck" canoe are the same on the Stroke of Luck (large) stockman and trapper. Does that mean they are bland (tasteless) too?

I really could not decide between them.
As for the next forum knife ... I have no idea if there will be one, or who will make it. I'm pretty confident it won't be a 4 inch plus closed stockman, trapper, or moose though. (Come to that, it probably won't be any of those patterns.)
