Unlike the Hogs, it doesn't seem meant for me to hoard INFI. I may have to liquidate one or both of my current Busse. I've got a slightly used Satin Jack Tac, black with tan handles, no logo, with a slightly raised handle tube that I snagged at the online Knob Creek sale and a Heavy Duty (black on black) that I've beat on a little. Don't want to part with either one, but was wondering how rare the SJ Tac's without the logo were and what the future of the HD was, I know I've been hearing rumor of more later (two weeks:)) Getting ready to have a baby in March and planning to start my second job back up. Gun on GB right now that I really, really want, a discontinued one, that I'm afraid I might not see again for a while....

Hi Greg,

CongRATs on your new baby! From what I've heard from people who have them, they area joy -- but very spendy. It's good to see that your family is a priority over knives -- that's a tough thing sometimes. ;)

Since you posted in this forum, I'll assume that you're not asking for offers, but rather advice. The only advice that I can give that could help guide you to your decision is this...which knife will you use most often?

From the sounds of things, once they're gone...that's it for both of them.

However, if you were looking for collectability then I would keep the Heavy Duty. IIRC, Skunk said that there were only 84 of them total.

Good luck in your decision, bro!

whoa, whoa, whoa there.......can you please be more specific on the 84...are we talking regular standard old HD's? The black on Black that was on the company store? What about the other color combos I have seen? are we talking only 84 Heavy Duties in the whole crazy world? John

My understanding is that it is 84 total. I'll see if I can find Skunks post regarding this.

I'm glad then that I got 2% of them, actually 2.3%. They are great knives and possibly the best EDC from the Busse line, until the folder comes out. I'll just have to get a few to re-evaluate then. :D

no more heavy duty's, all gone, brown hog bought the last one:grumpy:

sjt's are almost gone too, just a few of the shadow camo's left which doesn't surprise me at all.

both of these blades will make great users AND investments.

the HD sold for 167 and now their going for 225!

Will be anxious to see what that little sucker "goes" for

glad i got me a few of um while i could,,:)

Does anyone else out there have a SJ TAC without logo? Did you request it that way? Mine was a Knob Creek score. I know that one time when talking to Jerry, I'd said something about preferring no logo as the "combat" moniker is a problem when travelling internationally as a Christian Missionary. Learned that even though the customs guys don't speak English, they sure could read "combat" etched into the blade of a BK 7.

Anyway, wondering if this is something the shop did special for my order or if all of the Knob Creek SJ Tac's were this way.

My SJ Tac that I picked up at Knob Creek has the Logo. I can't remember if others there did or not.
