his testing methods are crude at best whatever he is trying to prove he failed any knife will fail at some point even the titanium. for all we know he got it hot messed with it who knows. he showed pictures not video. when the military test a knife its under tight supervision and if the green beret failed as easy as he says the army would have never picked it up. there are many ways to make a knife fail where it looks like it has not been messed with but it has so his test i take with a big huge grain of salt. nuff said

Hey,

If you are talking about NOSS, I believe you are way off base. Just because a beloved knife fails, doesn't give you the right to call his integrity into question. If you have some proof that he did wrong, then fine. Otherwise, it's libelous rumor.
I don't have a dog in this hunt, but I believe you have overstepped a line of respect with this post.

Ken C moved this thread to the appropriate forum (Knife Reviews & Testing) and now you can post your opinions about knife testing whether anybody wants to hear it or not. Carry on....

Yes you are correct, any knife will fail under certain tests, but I tell you one thing. This man has enough hanging below his waste to do that to a 300 dollar knife. The sad part is people such as yourself who chose NOT to believe what your seeing and instead think of it as a conspiracy. You said that the military would not pick up this knife if it failed as easy? Last time I checked our military do not beat the crud out of it with hammers, so there in itself your objection holds no water what so ever.

I am grateful to Noss for his destruction tests. My tests and comparisons are never designed to find out the failure point of a knife, although a few have failed. I have a Chris Reeve Green Beret. I have no plans to beat it with a steel mallet, but I have a Scrap Yard S6 that can even take a bit of that. I know this, because Noss did it. I'm not angry at anyone that the GB failed such extreme shock. S30V is not a shock steel.
 
His knife tests have helped me very much, and are very good. Watch the videos and THEN post.
 
i got the titanium to fail that test i proves nothing im done on this subject. im not angry at the guy im just sayin it could be done better thats all and i would like to know where he gets the knives im not sayin his character is bad but someone else could mess with the knife and them give it to him. he is doing a decent thing the knives cost a lot. like i said im done.

I love this thread. I think noss tests are crap because we dont actually see him.

The CRK BGB was tested by soldiers, HUMAN SOLDIERS.

Not only is Noss not a soldier, (I really have no idea if he is) but how do we know he's even HUMAN? Martian? Atlantean? Big Foot? Terminator Unit?

The more pressing question, is to OP, you made your feelings clear about noss, BUT WHY DO YOU HATE PUNCTUATION? It's never done anything to you. =(
