For an argument to hold water, it should be:

1. Rational

2. Stated in an understandable fashion.

Capitalization and punctuation help.

As I said many times before, I could care less about noss's testing, but none of the results have surprised me in the least. S30v is a terrible choice for a hard use knife.

The military doesn't always choose the best gear. They issued the Ka-Bar and look at how little abuse it can take because of the weak spots in the design(BTW: I really like my Ka-Bar, just don't see it as the smartest design). Also, I have a pair of military issue boots from the Vietnam era that are just terrible and are cheaply made peices of crap.

I like seeing: knife shows, tests about knives, movies with knives in it, ect. just because I really like knives. So I am glad he does these tests because it is entertaining to see what a knife can really handle (when it isn't my knife of course), and it is shocking to find out what is hype and what is truth. I personaly don't gain much from his tests because I never push my knives beyond their intended purpose.

I don't see why he would rig a test, what would he gain by breaking an expensive knife? Also, why do alot of knives survive but others fail if he is rigging them, there doesn't seem to be any brand loyalty or personal bais to his tests.

Also, if you don't like his tests, that is fine, it is your opinion. But to openly question a mans integrity ,without proof, on a public forum, is something I don't like to see. I believe you could have composed your origanal post in a more polite way if you are just truly and honestly expressing your opinion without the intent to offend. Not because it is politicaly correct, but because it is common courtesy.

like i said im done.

So done, in fact that you've said that a least 5 times and started a new thread to repeatedly state how done you are. So, when you are done being done, come back and say so, and you'll be done again. This is getting entertaining all on its own. Before your done, I just wanted to be sure that you realize there are titanium alloys with lower toughness than steel. If you're going to do tests and post results, even if its just a statement of gross failure, we need video, and a little more specific information on the Ti alloy in question. :D

his testing methods are crude at best whatever he is trying to prove he failed any knife will fail at some point even the titanium. for all we know he got it hot messed with it who knows. he showed pictures not video. when the military test a knife its under tight supervision and if the green beret failed as easy as he says the army would have never picked it up. there are many ways to make a knife fail where it looks like it has not been messed with but it has so his test i take with a big huge grain of salt. nuff said

If you want to produce some sort of argument please try to make it a valid and coherent one if possible ;)

Its OK to be dissapointed, just dont be a total munter about it.

I really appreciate the testing that noss does. THANK YOU NOSS !!!!!!!!

It's made me have more confidence in some of the knives I own.

LOL. Well, I think all that can be said, and even some things that can't be said, have been said. I'm okay with conversations about testing conventions and testers, but I can't see this one going anywhere good, so I'll lock it.
