The military doesn't always choose the best gear. They issued the Ka-Bar and look at how little abuse it can take because of the weak spots in the design(BTW: I really like my Ka-Bar, just don't see it as the smartest design). Also, I have a pair of military issue boots from the Vietnam era that are just terrible and are cheaply made peices of crap.
I like seeing: knife shows, tests about knives, movies with knives in it, ect. just because I really like knives. So I am glad he does these tests because it is entertaining to see what a knife can really handle (when it isn't my knife of course), and it is shocking to find out what is hype and what is truth. I personaly don't gain much from his tests because I never push my knives beyond their intended purpose.
I don't see why he would rig a test, what would he gain by breaking an expensive knife? Also, why do alot of knives survive but others fail if he is rigging them, there doesn't seem to be any brand loyalty or personal bais to his tests.
Also, if you don't like his tests, that is fine, it is your opinion. But to openly question a mans integrity ,without proof, on a public forum, is something I don't like to see. I believe you could have composed your origanal post in a more polite way if you are just truly and honestly expressing your opinion without the intent to offend. Not because it is politicaly correct, but because it is common courtesy.
