Dedicated Front Flipper Thread. Let's See Em!

Gorgeous! Love that Davless. I'll have to get my Persian out and try it.

What is the second in the top photo?

That's the Twosun TS139, the one that turned me around on front flippers. I think it's the best knife they've made, a little more refined than their typical offerings and in S90V. Not to CKF levels of course, but punching well above their weight.

For the Persian and Eagle Rock, I've found that I can't front flip with the corner of my thumb like on a dedicated front flipper, but if I push with the center of my thumb on the jimping pushing parallel to the spine, it works.

Man, you all are bringing the fire!

Thanks! Digging back on my Imgur, most of my fire is getting front-loaded. 😅

This is the Kizer Aggressor. It's interesting in being a chonky handle with a tiny tab. It's also one of my favorites but like some others here, I've done some minor ergonomic rounding on the scale edges. The depression around the pivot makes it very comfortable in a modified pinch grip and it's easy for me to do the reach-around method with my index finger, allowing a nearly seamless transition from opening to use,

So awesome to see all Des’s work you posted, Steven. 🤤 A mighty fine collection of FF’s you have.
Thank you Sir.

Des is not only a brilliant knifemaker but also a close friend. He and Lynda used to live very close to me but now he is about two hours drive away in a stunningly beautiful area of the country.
We still see each other every second month or so. Des was also my dentist for many years. I was very sad the day he retired from practice!

I am very fortunate to have some beautiful pieces from him.:)

Surprised nobody has posted a Vosteed Corgi yet... still waiting and hoping for a Corgi XL to be in production. Amazing lines on that knife, and a top/front flipper just makes so much sense.
