Has this forum ever created a running thread for just pictures of Buck knives along with their details and left it up as a sticky? We could have all of the pictures in one place easily found on teh front page. I'd love to be able to scroll through page after page of different types of Bucks.

If this has been done and was removed or if you've opted against this already, feel free to delete this suggestion. My self esteem will survive. :p

I would be sceptical about it. I'm on a dial-up, and loading pics takes too much time. Thumbnails are acceptable, but still take more time than text.

There are also other users who have to pay for the bandwidth they use. AOL subscribers for instance. If they go over their monthly allottment, they have to pay extra. Pics eat bandwidth quick.

Of course, you can just choose not to look at your picture thread. Or, like me, avoid bandwidth hogs who post monster pics even when they know how to post thumbnails.

But that's just me. I'm anal like that. I also prefer 800x600 screen res (old eyes), and people who post bigger pics than that get ignored too.

I just found out how to cut off these bandwidth hogs lately, using the "Ignore" setting. It's a real timesaver. My list is expanding daily. :)

That would take up a lot of space ..... but good space:D

I didn't know some folks had bandwidth restrictions. Good to know you guys may have problems with high resolution pictures. I was going to post high res pictures of my 110 when it comes in. When I take pictures, maybe someone could tell me how to post thumbnails. I'd like to post high res and thumbnails so everyone can see them.

Do it. The link below explains how to link the thumbnail to the high-res pics.

I may decide to become a moderator just so I can make this thread a sticky...

I have a plain jane Alpha Hunter that dressed and skinned a large sow for me back in May of 2006. I guess I could snap a photo of that.

You could always hammer it through a railroad tie and post pics of it in pieces...That seems to be popular this month...

Lemme boot up my scanner PC...I'll post a pic that you can leech to your new thread (when your CS Buck comes in)... :)

For the picuture thread, I think we should start over with a new thread, see'n as all this yapping' has taken the "dedicated picture" out of the Dedicated Picture Thread.
