Tell me more about which knives, slip joint , locking folders or small fixed that have this handle configuration / texture. What's it called ( mutant-worm groove )? I am mostly obsessed with the black but would enjoy seeing what else is out there. To be too picky . . . I like the ones that have some flat area rather than the ones that are all sharp ridges and gullies.

Thanks

PS: add as many photos and links as you like.

Spyderco had a model called PPT. I believe it was a Fred Perrin design.
It is discontinued but I bet there are some floating around out there.
This is how Spyderco describes the scales " The black G-10 handle scales are milled with corrugated creases for skid-free and ergonomic handling."
I've also heard it called sculpted g-10.

Look into an "anso pattern". That might be a lead you are interested in.

Keep an eye on the exchange for a ppt as well as a sprint run ppt with an upgraded steel and (iirc) colored g10.

Good luck.

Excellent !
Thank's guys
I am starting to think that the exact thing I thought I saw in the photos of knives here is just in my head and is a combination of images. That's fun . . . maybe I will need to bussout my tools and make some scales.

I learned from the links just how isolated and out of touch I am.
The cure may be to get out of the bunker and go to a knife show occasionally. Not today though it is snowing like hell.
