Well it was just a morning walk with the dogs, but I managed to run into at least 3 different herds this morning which is unusual when I have my dogs with me. Hope you enjoy the shots - note none of them are me effectively sneaking up on them - just can't do it with my two mutts at my side.

Great pics! It's a rare treat to see deer in my local hills, and I've never seen that many together. Great gear shots too.

After over $2000 damage to my truck in early March from one that jumped infront of me in a curve, I hate them. I never used to mind seeing them but now I have a far different opinion.

The population is out of control in my state and they are showing up in a lot of residential and even commercial areas in town now.

They have become like rats with longer legs...but, they do make better jerky and trail bologna than rats! :D

I will do my share this fall to eliminate as many as I may legally tag!

Some nice photography there!

Northern New Jersey is suburban and crowded, cut up by the densest highway system in the country. We have a small boating lake in town, enclosed by not much more than a narrow wooded trail around it. Deer all the time. I've come across them standing there staring at me. I've seen them just coming off a multi-lane highway, not even running fast.

We're not supposed to have dogs in the park, but a lot of people walk them here anyway. Doesn't keep the deer out. :)
