Deer Hunting Knife

The Bark River Classic Lite Hunter is a great knife for dressing out deer.

Hi Guys,

I am leaning towards a Bark River knife, we live and play in the Upper Midwest. I have decided to ask my friend's wife about his knife collection before I order though .....

I know a guy who carries a Camillus Carbonitride 8 Inch knife, just throwing it out there. Then a Gerber Freeman Hunter is also a nice knife.

I'm using my Ferhman PeaceMaker this year. I caped a small buck out for one of my friends kid and it worked very well. Maybe a little bit over your budget but can you really put a price on a fantastic tool. Bark River would be another good option.

I know you have a $175 budget but honestly I really like this knife and its only $20. It has a skeletal frame so its very easy to clean which is a big thing for me. Plus its made in the USA. .............

Buck. So simple and well-made they are, and so affordable. I never argue against a Buck knife. Isn't it funny though? They get so little consideration because they're so well known....they're not "exotic" enough.....they don't "cost enough".

And the Gerber Freeman Caper in S30V!!! A little small for an "all-around" hunting knife, but potent nonetheless.
