  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Deer processing--knife test

awesome pictures! Love that dog, one minute its chewing on the meat, next its gone! Also how about a picture of the food!

THE MEAT WE CUT UP-IT'S IN DANNYS FREEZER

HE HAS 2 DOGS THAT ATE THE MEAT OFF THE BONES:thumbup:

Great pics William:thumbup: Glad you guys found that Hunter Skinner model usefull. I know I sure do:D

Butchering deer............................................ This is probably the main reason I got in to making knives. Between my brothers and myself, we would butcher a good number of deer every year. We soon found that store bought knives just didn't hold their edge to our liking. So, I began making my own butchering tools. I now, can take two-three deer from the field to my freezer without having to sharpen my knives. That being said, I use one to gut and skin, and another to bone the meat out.

Again, great pics man:thumbup:

Nick:)

Very nice! When I cleaned up my deer I used a Buck Vanguard, Rat Cutlery Izula, and my little Koyote. My dad used his Buck 110 also.

YOUR KNIFE HELD IT'S EDGE THE LONGEST:thumbup:

Great shots!!!

I field dressed mine with an Izula, but had it processes at a place near here. I wanted to donate some of the meat to a local soup kitchen, and they can only take it if you have it professionally processed.
