Define a hard use knife....

Actually it's a near perfect answer, as I can take that answer and work from there, and learn thanks guys.

Busse they are what they are...... designed for hard use and then some.......

ok, take your word for it. What is the most significant quality in a Busse? What feature is most valuable.

INFI is an extremely tough, well rounded steel, with a warranty that is unbeaten... not necessarrilly unmatched, but unbeaten.

For me hard use is just something I dont mind breaking. For example, moras and opinels. I never break 'em unless I try too. YMMV obviously.

To me a hard use knife is not one that exhibits the greatest overall resistance to extreme forms of impact, but rather a knife that can have a thin edge, less than 10 degrees per side, and survive being roughly, cross-grain batoned through hard seasoned wood with zero edge deformation, other than perhaps slight dulling.

A knife that you can literally beat the crap out of, pry with, batton though wood, chop down trees and abuse the hell out of and it still holds up. :D

Beat on it
Use it as a pry bar
Split logs
Split concrete
Everything and anything else you can think of.

This.

See my sig line.
