Definition of a "Tactical" knife

I tend to believe a tactical knife is not just people's warrior fantasy or marketing hype.

There is a hardware for this. Take the double-edge blade knife as an example, do I need this kind of knife if my use for it is just to slice tomatos and boxes?

So for me tactical knife exist and is real.
