does anyone dehydrate their own food. where do you get your recipes from?
I am getting pretty tired of mountain house on 6-7 day trips. I want to be able to make my own soups and meals....

Good question, there was a thread around here that said how to dry out meat and fish. Hopefully someone else can be more helpful. I look forward to hearing about this.

I ran into an article on a forum one day that talk all about dehydrating your own food, and the one lady gave a bunch of her recipies. Unfortunatly I have no idea were that thread was.

Try searching backpacking forums.

P.S. Were do you backpack for 6-7 days?

my buddy and I thru hiked Zion national park in Utah. we had 2 zero days to goof off and explore new terain. Utah was sooo extremely different than california. the bugs, animals, plants, rocks, everything.
