I like them also, but I thought Nathan said he wasn't using Tri-Rag anymore?
The red looks great!
Received my preorder today. Ebonite grip with a perfect satin grind. Oh and Chad’s sheath is a perfect fit. Night time photo doesnt do this knife any justice but I had to share. This will get field time.
Looks nice. I can't wait to receive my DEK1. I guess it will have gorgeous Cocobolo scales on it.
Nice deks everyone! Love the scale choices.
Anyone have a spine shot of their swedged Dek?
I dont think they were listed as an option in this sale (prior sale to this last Friday) Inquired on final and, well...Jo is awesome.
Was lucky to grab a set of buffed and unbuffed as well as a set of ECAM's for my non swedged.
Jo is awesome
Waiting on a 3v swedged
Yep, if they were offered on the preorder I would have probably bought two sets of them. They were probably left over knives from the Blade Show. But I can't believe that they didn't sell out!
Yes sir, Jo is awesome!
Here’s a Dek1 with a FK2. The Dek1 is swedged and has a penetrator tip. The FK2 is standard.
Are those scales Osage Orange?
Looks like tri-rag micarta!
That's what I thought before. But the more I look at it the more it looks like it has orange in it.
@XtianAus is correct. Tri Rag on the DEK in attachment. They do have some beautiful orange swirls in them. As much as I'm a fan of the ACEM's..these Tri rags might be my favorite.
Another lousy pic. Now that the weather broke..I need to take some outside/natural light pics..
The buffed (not shown) are a little darker, more contrast and make the colors pop. But the unbuffed in hand are tough to beat.
I have a set of buffed as well. I read Lorien stated all the DEK''s will take the same scales, so..the buffed will go on the DEK3 (I may pass on the DEK2 yea, right) if I'm lucky enough to snag one.
Love these scales
I was thinking it looked too light to be Osage Orange but figured that I would check. Thanks. They do look nice. I wonder why they produce so much scrap?
Well, satin for me from now on.
I love the stonewash and black stonewash.
