DEK1

Just wait until the CPK neck knife is available. Skeletonized handle and Magnacut. What's not to love?

I'm not makin a fukin neck knife

The kydex sheath that comes with the knife is exceptional. I have a few kydex sheats from various sources and none of them even close to the kydex sheath that comes with the CPK. But you might not realise how good they are (like me) until you see some other examples from other sources.

what kind of attachment to use on the kydex sheath is quite personal preference. But I feel like tek lok might suit you since you are not concerned about concealed carry. Tek loks are pretty flexible in terms of offering different carry configurations.

I’m sure they will be great. From everyone’s comments everyone can’t be wrong. I definitely will want to be able to carry kinda low at times like now when it’s cold (38*) and I have lots of clothes on. What can I say I’m a southern guy from east coast of NC. It’s cold.

So when I get home Monday I should have both of my DEKs there to behold. I’m like a fat kid in a candy store excited. I really will then probably NEED an EDC to complete the set. So if anyone has one that is just collecting dust….

Depending on what your EDC definition is, DEK3 might be a better option than most CPK knives. I have DEK1 and 3 and I find DEK1 to be quite thick; on the other hand, DEK3 cuts like a demon. DEK3 is also considerably lighter than DEK1 which is a bonus for EDC. So if your EDC task definition involves more cutting than abuse and the size of DEK3 is within your carry EDC limits, then it might be a good option for you. Of course you will need to convince someone to sell their DEK3, which I believe would not be an easy task, given that we will probably not see another run of DEK3.

The EDC A abraves is referring to is a knife. It looks like 6/7 of these:

Yeah I know. Just wanted to suggest another option. DEK3 cuts really well (most likely much better than the EDC model) which is a bonus for most EDC tasks and can be easier to get one compared to EDC model. If the size of DEK3 is not an issue, the weight is about the same with EDC model as well.

What attachment for sheath would you recommend? I‘ve seen what looks like a kydex belt loop and of course the tek lock. I feel the loop would be best as it would hang a little lower. I think I found what I want to try at Sagewood. Can someone measure the distance between holes center to center? Like front to back so I get the right adapter. My sheath is at home and as you know I’m impatient. 😁
