NOW you have a cutting edge...that will let that beast bite deep enough for you to experience the reason it's called a "traction" coating: it has excellent at-traction to very large wood splinters. Fun as hell to use a Brute with an actual, acute angle edge - I wore through a couple belts on the K.O.W.S. when I did mine a few years ago - but on mine, the coating picks up splinters that seem almost melted into it...
....I suppose I could strip it. It's certainly not a safe queen - plus, Camillus made 1095 fares a lot better against rust in my salt air basement. I ain't got the shoulders left to beat off the rest of the coating...though no small amount has already been sacrificed to the wood sprites.

I cheated, 91Bravo stripped/Media Blasted one of my BK1 Brutes. I had already thinned out the edge but he touched it up nicely. It is very slicey but it will still chop with the best of them. I'm going to let this one go, it will be on the exchange later tonight. I currently have 4 of them 2 from Blackjack and 2 from Camillus, this is the nicer of the Camillus and probably the best performer of the group.
