NOW you have a cutting edge...that will let that beast bite deep enough for you to experience the reason it's called a "traction" coating: it has excellent at-traction to very large wood splinters. Fun as hell to use a Brute with an actual, acute angle edge - I wore through a couple belts on the K.O.W.S. when I did mine a few years ago - but on mine, the coating picks up splinters that seem almost melted into it...
....I suppose I could strip it. It's certainly not a safe queen - plus, Camillus made 1095 fares a lot better against rust in my salt air basement. I ain't got the shoulders left to beat off the rest of the coating...though no small amount has already been sacrificed to the wood sprites.
