Sproles-do you find that little red strobe light to be bright enough for emergancy use? I have the same one and Im wondering whether to use it in an emrgancy kit or not.

Also, thats some nice stuff you have in your case.

THAT, my friend, has been one of the best finds that I have made in YEARS. I frequent the candlepowerforums.com and was looking for a replacement for my Nuwai Qiii light as my EDC - this is the Jil 1.3w Light (UP) - I LOVE this thing. VERy bright and is a MICRO sized light compared to the Qiii. Let me know if you have any questions or want any more pics. I actually added 2 small tritium vials on the non-lense end so I could find it at night or in the dark...cool effect.

I would love to see a few more pics.

Please!

I am thinking of making one of these, not sure what kind of case to use, but the contents will be something like:

-Fixed Blade knife
-Leatherman Multi-Tool
-Knife Sharpener
-Surefire Flashlight
-Spare Batteries for SF
-More spare batteries for SF
-LED flashlight
-Spare batteries for LED light
-Collapsable Baton
-A few Bic lighters
-Pry Bar
-Radio
-Some kind of shelter [tarp, tent etc.)

Just a thought. Has anyone made a prybar using parrallel tool steel sheets cut to shape with a folding saw?

I made one a while ago, it lives in a pull-out drawer/rack that fits between the two CD changers in the trunk of my car.

Soooo....,do you guys actually carry these cases around or are they just for storage(please say it's the latter)? I'd love to see the reactions from bystanders whom witnessed someone opening up one of these cases to take out a flashlight. THAT certainly wouldn't draw any attention:eek: !

Mine could certainly fit more kit in it if it wasnt divided up (it has lots more kit in it now, anyway!) but its just lives in my car boot as a sorta "re-supply" kit.
The most used item is the brew kit (steel mug stuffed with tea/coffee/soup ?& hexi stove)
