I've been using a frn Delica 4 PE as my edc knife for a couple of years now and have been very happy with its performance. When the G10 version came out it immediately caught my attention but, already having the frn D4 and being satisfied with it, I held off on ordering one. Big mistake! I finally broke down and pulled the trigger last weekend. Today it got here and I couldn't be happier. For starters, I love the flat ground blade. It's worth getting this knife for that improvement alone, but then there's the green G10 scales. They make the knife somewhat thicker than the frn version and, consequently, more substantial feeling in my hand without adding much weight wise. The blade is perfectly centered and the butter smooth action is just icing on the cake.

All in all, great improvements to an already very good knife. My hats off to Sal and the Spyderco gang. Job well done!

Just a question. Is the FG G10 version a sprint run?

Congrats on your new FG G10 Delica.
AFAIK, it's a regular production model, along with the G10 Endura.

Very nice knife indeed. Wasn't a big fan of the green, but it's kinda grown on me. The Delica is just a sweet lookin' knife.

They are really nice with the flat ground blade. Great cutters and nice solid feel with the G-10 handles

love them too... smooth action that never fails to open effortlessly and once locked in place, its not going anywhere...congrats on the purchase, just wathc out because before long you will be addicted to anything with a spyderco emblem on it...like me haha

Already there Tayhew, 34 and counting. I bought a full size (610) Plain edge, Black Blade Benchmade Rukus the other day. It was the first non Spyderco knife purchase that I have made in 2 years. Yeah, I'm hooked.

I have not handled a military, but if anyone has one and a g10 endura/delica, I would like to know how close they come in regards to the smoothness and fit/finish.

Yeah, I sharpened mine at 50 degrees inclusive for more of a workers edge, and its still a GREAT slicer!
