I have a lot of knives, but I always have a Spydie nearby
The Blue Delica 4 is my daily work EDC and you wouldn't know except for the wear on the clip.
So I was looking at this picture and though a Delica with a wire clip the like Dragonfly would be awesome......
I have grown rather fond of the wire clip on my Techno, Sage, etc

just thinking out loud

I agree , but another option would be to just get their existing style clips from Taichung Taiwan where they know how to make a black clip that doesn't look used after one days use .
My Gayle Bradley clip still looks brand new and it's already seen a bit of action .

Interesting thought. I think I prefer the rigidity of the hourglass clip to the wire clip though. The wire clip can shift/move even with the screw tightened all the way down. Would still be neat to see what's it like on the Delica tho.

The wire clip on mu Caly 3.5 works very well so I can't see it being a problem on a Delica .

I agree with the wire clip. But until then, consider replacing the black clip with polished stainless. Looks awesome.

One issue I can see is that it would mean you can't carry your Delica tip down if you are that way inclined .
The 4 way option is a good feature in my opinion .
I still like the idea though .

+1. I love the clip on my Domino. Almost like polished black chrome.

I've only used the wire clip on my Dragonfly, and I'm not the biggest fan. I bent it out of shape the 2nd or 3rd day in my pocket. I have to imagine the knives with longer wire clips are a little easier to use. More flexible.

Wire clips set the standard for all other clips. I wish Spyderco would even offer the Millie and PM2 in a heavy gauge wire clip

James, I hate to tell you this but you're not the only one.
Just my opinion.. The wire clips look cheap, break/ bend easy. I have no idea why spyderco puts them on their expensive knives.
I have swapped all of my clips to Casey's clips and given away all of my wire clip knives. Just my thoughts

Like I mentioned, I've grown to like them very much and have yet to bend or tweak one

Actually, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

Want to make a Delica feel even better in hand? Take the clip off. No worries with clip wear then. I started making my own pocket organizers and carry clipless now and have realized how great my knives feel now with no clip. I love the Delica even more now.

I think I'm probably the only person who doesn't like wire clips.

Again, you are NOT the only one out there. I also dislike the wire clips and I've removed them from every Spyderco I own that has them (nice knives otherwise). It's hard to describe but the wire not only look wrong, it feels wrong.

Yea, definitely doesn't disappear in your hand like some of the other clip designs. The boxy shape of the top of it makes for a wicked hot spot when gripping tightly.

I didn't mention before that I didn't care much for the Delica at first, but when I started to carry it as a work edc, it quickly grew on me.
Well I called up Spyderco last week to order a couple of stainless steel clips for the Delica and Endura with my credit card in hand, I was greeted by a friendly young lady who was going to take my order.
Her computer wouldn't come online so she told me it was my lucky day and she would have to send them out no charge.
She took my information and I got them today
I got two for the Delica and one for the Endura(they appear to be identical)
I was and have always been impressed with their customer service and my respect for Sal and company continues to grow by leaps and bounds as my Spyderco collection grows and I spend more time on this and the Spyderco factory forum
All I can say is
Thank You Spyderco
