Delica blew me away....

The little Delica blew me away today. I just got the partial serrated Delica 4 and it is a real winner for such a small blade. The blade shape seems a lot more practical than a thin tipped Native for the same size and package. I chose the partial serrated blade because it just seems more suited to everyday needs and "what if" tasks that could come in the way. I'm still going to have the Military as the "Flagship" in the main pocket, but the Delica will take the left hand side as my "patrol boat."

Excellent knife and actually a good size handle and grip for such a little thing. I'm the kind of knife addict that has to have a 3.5" to 4" blade, and this purchase surprised me too . I saw it and decided right then and there that I had to have it. I probably paid 10 - 15 dollars more than I would have online, but I neededto get it as soon as I saw it. Works great too, it cut up my steak tonight with ease and shaved some hair afterwards with the straight half of the blade.

Anybody else surprised at how good a knife this is for it's small size? The Delica really changed my attitude towards those of you who like to carry small 3" or less blades (well, any blade smaller than 3.5" is small to me ;)).

The Delica is a great little knife in any flavor, no wonder it has been in the line up of Spyderco offerings for so long:)

It's one of those "the" knives. If you have a knife collection and use knives every day, you need a Delica. To top it off, we knuts have many (at least fifteen) variations of the Delica 4 from which to choose.

i have 2 delicas, i love em both. one is black, and the other is all stainless.
they're not big, but they're sharp, fast, strong.

Haha, you keep calling it small...

After I got my Kershaw centofante the other week, my Delica4 (my old EDC) just seems huge.
Still love the Delica, though. With the new green G-10 version out, I'ts been hard to resist buying another one. It's just hard to justify an extra 100 bucks for G-10 scales, full liner and a full-height flat grind. Especially when the standard lightweight version does so well. I'd love to get my delica ground flat to the spine. I might have to enquire about local grind monkeys.
Why didn't they go for ZDP-189, full height grind, G-10...

Would the Delica then be too good?

I bought one a while back ended up giving it away at christmas as im a cheap b*****d but saying that i just thought it was a bit slim.
If the blade and lock were just a mm or two thicker i think i would have kept it and would make it a much better blade IMO.
