Delica FFG..... Is why I quit buying knives!

I have carried my Delica 4 (saber grind) everyday for 6 years. The finest blade I have ever owned and I don't really have need for any others. However, I am interested in the custom aluminum scales from Allen Putman.

Please any links on where to buy those Alan putman scales ?.
There is a green set on a Para 2 on a forum now but no money to buy it.
I've searched but can't find any stockists of the type you have on your Delica .

I love both my Mini Grips and my Delicas. I just wish the Delica came with scales like that of the Para 2.

I bought them from BladeHQ. I see only the red scales available now for the Delica and 3 colors for the Endura.

I just ordered a black blade combo edge Endura and a set of blue Putman scales. It's going to look sweet.
 
I prefer all the Manix variations, I, 2, and 2XL. I prefer the Endura 4. Somehow, no matter what I start the day out with, the Delica 4 in ZDP-189 is in my pocket. I like to have a larger Spyderco as well, but I still always have the Delica on me. Somewhere.:rolleyes:
I can't, for the life of me, figure how you plan to make it better, but I'll see when that gets here.:confused:
 
Delica just "made" a new niche of my carry duties. A zdp d4 is now my light (work out shorts/pjs) carry. She's just so comfortable in all respects. I hadn't heard anything of a d5, now I'm unsure as to snag another d4 or wait.
 
Of all my knives my grey Delica 4 ffg gets the most pocket time. With my Tenacious tied for second, then lastly my Buck Vantage small, because of the deep carry clip for work. But I LOVE my Delica, and I will be buying many more Spyderco knives. Now if I could only find a PM2. Maybe a Manix 2 next. Thanks Sal for a great product. :)
 
My wife constantly carries the purple flat ground delica. The vg10 is pretty easy to put a good edge on.
I can tell when she has been at the zip ties though.... Russ
 
The FFG Endura was my go-to gift for fellow Army types when I was a commander. The combination of thin carry profile, light weight, good ergonomics and great blade geometry made it a no-brainer for me. I did buy a Delica for one of my lieutenants who is very small (5'0" and a hundred pounds) simply because it was more to her scale, but the Endura family was the right fit for everyone else. I guess I have never thought, "Gee, I wish the blade on this folder was a half inch shorter." I wish I had picked up a Super Blue version when they were available. Those scales look really nice, but it is hard for me to justify them when total cost approaches PM2 prices.
 
Delica FFG is one of the top contenders for best EDC, IMO. Great knife for the price.
