Delica IV ZDP-189 is here!

Confusing isn't it. The item numbers, Delica Wave v Delica ZDP, are different. Online ordering can be a dice roll. I like to buy in person when I can. However, NGK takes top honors online. So I am five by five in the confidence dept. that I ordered a Delica ZDP. Just waiting now.

Seems like a very good summer for blades so far. Gonna have some fun

Update: Email from NGK: 130 ahead of me on the list & this is/was the correct link to backorder ZDP Delica.

My question was to oregon who posted the NGK Delica ZDP link Reading the product description it seems obvious they are mixing the ZDP and the Wave versions of the Delica. It's a picture of the blue ZDP knife, but the description is "Spyderco Delica 4 Black FRN with Emerson Wave". They say "Blade Steel ZDP-189", but they also say "Hardness 59-60". So my question to oregon was which knife did he order, the Wave or the ZDP. I'd hate to think I was ordering a ZDP and end up with a Wave. My Delica ZDP is enroute, I don't need to order another.
 
My Delica ZDP-189 arrived today, sharp, very nice and very different than the Black FRN SpyderEdge I keep in the truck console.
 
Interestingly, the New Graham link no longer works, and I've been unable to find the knife on the website. I fear my chances of purchasing one of these without being seriously gouged are quite slim at this point. I find this phenomenon rather curious, since a recent (and far more limited) knife release did not seem to inspire this sort of pricing. Admittedly, the sale and distribution of that knife were a bit different than with this Delica, but I still find it odd that people seem to be willing to pay such an extreme premium for one.

How about that (dead link). I think that NGK was overwhelmed with interest in the D4 ZDP. Perhaps they are just rewording the advertisement.

I think we are both in the same boat, unfortunately. I don't know what it would hurt to get on the above list. Be bold. Dream big.

Perhaps get on a list for the Kershaw Ti Leek ZDP. Just ask, via email, at NGK to be put on that list.

I got mine from knifecenter for the price in the link. At those ludicrous premiums I would consider mine sold if it weren't for my reluctance to take advantage.
